About the Wedding, Cancun, and the Resort

THE RESORT

The wedding will take place at the amazing Paradisus Cancun in Cancun mexico.  This is an "all-inclusive" resort.  An "all-inclusive resort" is one that's prices include your room, food, and drinks (including alcoholic).

PASSPORTS

You will need a passport to go to the wedding, but you won't need one to book your trip.   You can plan on getting your passport as soon as you know you will be attending the wedding.  If you already have a passport, you will need to make sure that it doesn't expire before September 2015.  Here is the link to get you started: http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/english.html

DATE

The wedding is going to be on Feb. 22, 2015.  You are welcome to arrive up any day before that if you like.  Most guests will be arriving the Wednesday or Thursday before the wedding and staying until Tuesday. 

WHAT TO WEAR

While dining at the restaurants for breakfast or lunch:

Ladies:  Sun Dresses, Sandals, t-shirts and skirts
Gentelemen:  Shorts, Tshirts, and flip flops

At dinner/bars:

Ladies:  dresses, skirts, long pants, capri pants and sandals
Gentleman:  long pants, collared shirts and casual shoes or dress sandals

HOW DO I BOOK A TRIP?

We have worked with the resort to get a group discount for the wedding attendees.  So you can call us at 405-752-2400 or email us at blake@skihaustravel.com to get started.  Usually there is a small deposit due (usually around $400-$500) when booking and the balance can be paid up until 45 days before the trip.  You can call us with any type of credit card.  You can also make as many payments as you like up until 45 days from the trip. 

We are able to match and beat any price that you may find online.  So feel free to let us know if you see something cheaper, and we will beat it!

LANGUAGE BARRIER

You won't need to learn any Spanish between now and then.  Most everyone at the resort that you will interact with knows English.

SAFETY

One of the most common questions we get is "Is it safe there?".  You don't need to worry.  Cancun and the resort are safe.  We send countless clients there every year and we have never had an issue.  You should always use common sense wherever you are, but on the whole, it is a very safe place to visit.
