You can arrive as early in the week as you would like and stay as long as you like, but definitely make sure you are there by 2-12-15 to make it to the welcome reception or by 2-13-15 to make it for the wedding.

We get this question all the time. The answer is yes, depending on where you go. If you are planning t go to Mexico City or one of the areas near the US border, then no. The dangerous areas of Mexico have travel advisories from the US government. The Riviera Maya area does not have one. We have sent thousands of clients to this area, and have never had an issue.
We will get you flights from your local airport to Cancun International Airport.
We will arrange transportation to pick you up right outside the terminal and deliver you to the resort after a short 30 minute ride. Here is a short video showing you how to get to your transportation: Finding Your Transfer
You actually won't need to know any Spanish on the resort or at the airport. Most everyone in the area speaks English.
Mexico is based on the Peso. You are going to a location that will allow you to use American dollars most everywhere you go. For the rare occassasion that you may need a peso, the front desk will be able to exchange it for you. So you will not need to do any exchanges before you travel.
In an effort to fit everyone's budget, the couple has chosen a resort that actually has three individual resorts within the resort. All of the resorts span over a mile and you will have access to multiple restaurants and bars that are included in your price of the resort.
Two of the resorts (El Dorado Royale and El Dorado Royale Casitas) are adults only. So anyone staying there needs to be at least 18 years old. The El Dorado Royale is the largest of the properties and is the most lively of the bunch while also being the most economical. The El Dorado Royale Casitas will provide you with a larger room and will include amenities such as a pool butler and smaller private pools that are for the Casitas guests only.

You can also stay here without kids if you prefer. The resort really caters to everything a family might need. There is a children's play areas, nanny services, strollers, bottle warmers, pack n plays, etc.
